Landmark recognised for its commitment to supporting staff and students’ mental health and wellbeing
National Mental Health & Wellbeing Accreditation for Landmark
Landmark has successfully completed a comprehensive mental health and wellbeing training programme through the national college, demonstrating its commitment to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of staff and students in line with DfE guidance and best practice.
The International School has received a National Mental Health & Wellbeing Accreditation for successfully engaging the whole school in building a culture where mental health and wellbeing is placed at the heart of decision making.
Joe Stoney, co-founder of The National College, said:
“Congratulations to everyone at Landmark on achieving their National Mental Health & Wellbeing Accreditation. By completing our training programme, the school has shown its strong commitment to developing an environment where both children and staff feel supported, valued and can thrive.
The DfE and Public Health England (PHE) both stress the importance of a whole school approach to mental health in order to secure better outcomes for pupils but this requires engagement and investment from all staff. We’ve armed schools with the knowledge and skills they need to understand their responsibilities and how to react in the best way possible to any problems.”
Mark Thomas O’Keefe, Student Counsellor and Wellbeing Leader at Landmark, said:
“Mental health and Wellbeing is a priority at Landmark International school. It's an integral part of our school community, one that we hope creates a supportive, inclusive and safe environment for all of us.
Both staff and students have opportunities to express their thoughts and feelings and are encouraged to do so without the fear of being judged.
Having opportunities to complete mental health and wellbeing professional development is important to support colleagues in further strengthening our school environment and something I value and appreciate.”
