Toucan Class Visit the Museum of Zoology
Museum of Zoology
On the 2nd of May Toucan class visited the Museum of Zoology, in Cambridge, to learn about evolution and natural selection.
At the Zoology museum Toucan class observed and sketched the different creatures. Also they were told about Charles Darwin and his research; they got to look at Charles’ interesting specimens he had collected. We saw the different skulls of many creatures to see how different between creatures. After that everyone got to explore the museum on their own and learned multiple more facts.
The perspectives of some Toucan Class students
“I thought the skeletons were fascinating. They had so many bones, and I also loved the detail and vibrant colors of the flamingo. I really enjoyed this trip, although I do wish the trip could be a little longer. Still I hope I can come back soon.” - Clara.
“I really enjoyed it and I thought it was really interesting. I liked all the skeletons and the colours of the stuffed birds.” - Ellen
“ I liked how we could see animals from all over the world and how they did not move around so we could look at them more closely. I would definitely come again.” - Raffie
“ I loved all the stuffed animals and I liked our tour as we got to handle some skulls. I think it was very educational. Having learnt about Charles Darwin there I feel like I understand him more and realise why he is so important. I have learnt some remarkable and unforgettable facts. I wish to return soon.” - Nieve
