Thinking of changing schools?
A Fresh Start at Landmark
Sometimes, changing schools is the best decision a family can make
Whether you're relocating to Cambridge, your child's current school is closing, or you're simply looking for a school where they will be better understood and supported, changing schools can feel like a daunting step.
At Landmark International School, we understand that every family's journey is different. We regularly welcome students throughout the academic year, helping them settle quickly into our warm, friendly community where they are known as individuals from day one.
Why families choose to move schools
Families join Landmark for many different reasons.
Some are relocating to Cambridge from elsewhere in the UK or overseas. Others have found that a larger school isn't the right fit for their child. Some are looking for smaller class sizes, more personalised learning, or a nurturing environment where their child can rebuild confidence and enjoy learning again.
We've also welcomed students whose previous schools have unexpectedly closed, helping them continue their education with minimal disruption.
Whatever your reason, you'll find a warm welcome at Landmark.
Settling In
Starting somewhere new can be overwhelming, for both children and parents.
Our small classes mean every student is quickly known by their teachers and classmates. From the moment they join, we take the time to understand each child's strengths, interests and aspirations so they feel valued, supported and included.
Because we're a small school, it's often remarkable how quickly new students become part of the Landmark family.
Joining Mid-Year
Many schools only admit students in September.
At Landmark, we welcome students throughout the academic year whenever places are available.
Whether your child joins in October, January or the summer term, we work closely with families to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible.
We'll guide you through every step, from arranging a visit and taster days to helping your child settle into lessons and make new friends.
Moving During GCSEs
Changing schools during Key Stage 4 may seem like a difficult decision, but it doesn't have to mean compromising your child's education.
Our experienced teachers work closely with new students to understand where they are in their learning, identify any gaps, and help them continue towards their GCSE goals with confidence.
Thanks to our small class sizes and personalised approach, students often benefit from the additional support and individual attention they receive.
What Parents Say
"Our Year 10 son has had a fantastic start at Landmark International School, joining late in the summer term after his previous school closed. The small class sizes have made a real difference, allowing teachers to give each student plenty of individual attention and support. The school's focused, nurturing approach has helped him settle in quickly, build confidence, and stay engaged with his learning. We're very impressed with the welcoming atmosphere and the genuine commitment to helping every student succeed."
