Landmark Student Council Raises Funds for Mind Over Cancer on World Cancer Day

After having a school assembly about Mind Over Cancer, a charity working towards helping young people with cancer, and their families, with their mental health, we, as the Student Council, decided to raise money for this good cause. Since UN World Cancer Day occurs on the 4th of February, we decided to organise a cake sale for the day before, Friday the 3rd of February. After baking the cakes, and completely selling out at break time, we raised over £90.00 for the charity; hopefully similar events will take place in the future.
