Medals abounded for Landmark in Local and National Latin Competitions

MEDALS abounded for the Landmark School on Thursday 11 March 2020.

The Year 8 Latin team struck GOLD at the city-wide Latin Reading Competition run by the Cambridge Classical Association. In a tight contest Landmark performed Umbrae - The Ghosts and knocked the Leys and Parkside schools into second and third places.

Congratulations goes to Leo, Antonia, Harry and Penny. Sadly Lola, playing the main role, Ampelisca, was unable to attend the event. So a special commendation goes to Rebecca who stepped in at the very last minute and completely saved the day. Ave Rebecca!

On the very same day The Association for Latin Teaching contacted magister Lord with the news that in the NATIONAL Latin Reading Competition:

  • SILVER medals have been awarded to Sofia and Sara who excelled in the Junior Section.

  • Landmark's medal haul was completed by Noah who achieved a BRONZE medal in the Intermediate section.

Venimus, Vidimus, Vicimus!
