Developing our digital skills: Google Workspace Skills

Landmark is excited to announce that it has signed up to Canopy’s Workspace Skills interactive training modules. This is a resource to help develop our digital literacy. The tool supports staff and students in developing their use of google workspace tools such as:

  • Drive

  • Docs

  • Slides

  • Sheets

  • Sites

  • Classroom

The programme has three interactive tutorials for each workspace tool. These get progressively more challenging and are associated to bronze, silver and gold awards for each tool. When you complete all the tutorials successfully you can achieve an overall bronze, silver or gold award for your use of google workspace. These awards a kept in an online passport.

We initially trialled the programme with school staff and a number of the team are now working through the whole programme to develop their skills.

Now we have taken the opportunity to begin to provide students with the opportunity to develop their digital literacy. Year 7 and 8 completed an afternoon workshop. Many of the students started filling their passports with awards.
